AIMp MEMBERS AWARDED THE HIGHEST ACCOLADE IN PHARMACY DESIGN

C+D & Ceuta Platinum Design Awards 2008
AIMp members Murrays Healthcare, were awarded the highest accolade in pharmacy design at the prestigious C+D & Ceuta Platinum Design Awards 2008 held at The Royal Society of Medicine in London last month.
Murrays Healthcare in partnership with the BAPTT Group retained the Platinum Design Trophy for Multiple Pharmacies awarded for best service innovation from a refitted pharmacy which they first won in 2006. Murrays Healthcare’s long-term design & fit partnership with the BAPTT Group, specialist pharmaceutical design shopfitters, has, by utilizing their concept-to-completion service ensured their continuing success in retaining this award.
The changing role of the pharmacist is essential in today’s climate which emphasises the importance of gearing up to provide new healthcare services. It’s key they have the right environment and this partnership certainly celebrates cutting edge pharmacy design.
Murrays Healthcare outlet, at Bridgnorth’s Northgate Health centre, designed by BAPTT Shopfitters was first runner up in the Platinum Design Award and was praised by the panel of Judges for the light and airy style and features such as a three tiered workbench system which aids reduction of staff stress and errors, and an easy access consultation area near the middle bench allowing pharmacists to talk discreetly with patients whilst retaining a comfortable, calm and friendly atmosphere.
The C+D & Ceuta Platinum Design Awards are held every two years and the Murrays Healthcare/BAPTT Group partnership have enjoyed success in two of the four awards showing themselves to be amongst the frontrunners of the pharmacy design revolution.
